The EXPO ALADI – Colombia 2019 was opened on 16 October in its sixth edition since it was held for the first time in Uruguay, in 2014.
The event, organized by the Latino-American Integration Association (ALADI) and PROCOLOMBIA, jointly with the Gobernación de Santander (Government of Santander), the City Hall of Bucaramanga and the Chamber of Commerce of Bucaramanga, was opened at the Centro de Convenciones “Neomundo” (Conventions Center), in the mentioned city.
With the presence of the President of the Republic of Colombia, Iván Duque, authorities and guests, the Secretary-General of the ALADI, Alejandro de la Peña, and the President of PROCOLOMBIA, Flavia Santoro, the largest meeting of trade and regional integration, the EXPO ALADI, was opened on 16 October.
Entrepreneurs from the thirteen member countries of the ALADI, Costa Rica and Guatemala, as guest countries, will meet on 17 and 18 October. Such entrepreneurs, in two intense days, will negotiate based on the following sectors: construction finishings; processed foods and beverages, leather and leather products, containers and packaging, electrical equipment, and machinery, and agricultural equipment, pharmaceutical products, other chemical industry products, plastics, and medical equipment; services related to ICTs and audiovisual services; textiles, clothing, and footwear.
